The Einstein MK60 use a circlotron output stage and as it uses 4 6C33C tubes the output impedance is about 10 ohm. As they claim a damping factor of 90 which is equivalent to 0.09ohm they use about 110 times feedback or 40dB. Is that good or bad? it depends on what you think about feedback in general, My belief is that feedback is no evil if itd done the correct way, in an OTL feedback is only used only to lower output impedance and as long as stability is ensured I think it only improve the performance.
My own OTL use about 28dB of feedback, I could use more but this gives me a damping factor of about 20 which I think is enough.

- I thought that might be the case. Thanks. (nt) - lrcordell 08:06:11 06/30/08 (0)
