Impedance of MP-1 phono section?

I'm planning to experiment with a series/shunt volume control based on variable photocell resistors (optocouplers), in place of the stock 100K stepped series attenuator in the MP-1 MkII.2. By varying complementary control voltages to the control LEDs on the series & shunt elements, it's possible to achieve a constant input impedance for the volume control across its useful range. But it's preferable to set this impedance relatively low, short of presenting a difficult load to the source.
What is the output impedance of the phono section in the MP-1 MkII?
