M1s (MA1s?) have 14 tubes per chassis. So you are saying that you are using bi-amplification with 4 MA1-type monoblocks that you built yourself. As you know, I use Sound Lab M1s, and I cannot imagine a better amplifier to drive them than a circlotron type OTL, especially bi-amplified. I don't know what this has to do with a center-tap, either. (I think I mentioned to you that the audio transformers in an SL speaker are not center-tapped. I doubt that your A3s would be any different from my M1s in that regard, since both speakers use the same transformers. Maybe your speakers are of an earlier vintage; mine are about 8 years old.)
