tubevibb, it may come as some surprise to you that Atma-Sphere had no control over the ASOG at all. It was set up that way so that it would be legitimate. It was moderated by Al Sekela.Unfortunately what happened is the guy who owned the server it was on shut it off (and apparently deleted some of the posts about him), and also shut down the Atma-Sphere website (which was hosted on the same server) shortly thereafter. He *did* have an agenda, and it had little to do with Atma-Sphere.
It was suggested that Atma-Sphere host the ASOG after that, but we wanted nothing to do with it as it would be thus compromised. So the ASOG archives wound up being hosted here. The OTL forum of audioasylum was created at the time the ASOG was shut down. It seemed a logical thing as it too was/is independant.
