Hello,I can't believe I'm asking this, but I'm looking at buying an MP-1, and the seller is acting a bit strange.
I asked him if he had any of the optional upgrades done to the unit, and he told me that if I wanted, I can ask for the serial number and call Atma-S. and get them to check their records.
So I write him back and say "Okay, what is the serial number, then?"
He writes back with:
"Find out where is the serial number first please. "
Strikes me as an odd way to make a sale, but now here I am in this position. I want the preamp if it's got some of the options. I want it anyway, but if it's stock that's going to affect the offering price. It's got to be used for me, because I flat out can't afford a new one.
I don't really want to waste the time of the Atma-sphere team by calling them twice, especially with the first question (where is the #) being so silly. Can anyone tell me where this seller has to look to find the serial number of the MP-1.
I'm hoping that after this I don't need to know any passwords or secret handshakes :)
The only reason I'm bothering at all is that my friend and I believe so much in this preamp, and really feel strongly about owning one. I'm not happy about the cloak and dagger, but I'll put up with it for a good end result.
Thanks very much,
ccm
