As I mentioned more than once, my amps have had the 1K feedback resistor installed since the day I built them about 8 years ago (from parts and schematic supplied by Ralph). My amp/speaker combination has no high frequency harshness or peakiness whatever, so I see no need to mess around with the feedback resistor or bypass caps, but I have no problem with your doing so. I am interested to learn about your use of bypass capacitors, but what is there to discuss? One question I did pose to you in my desire to "talk" about the bypass cap is what formula or other rationale did you use to determine the value of the bypass cap? It seems odd to me that you went from 0.86uF to 16.86uF in one step. What made you think that 16uF (as opposed to smaller or higher values) would be better? You have not answered these questions.
