Tougher job; the amplifier power transformers have a 12V AC filament supply output, which you
can use direct to supply the filaments with 12V AC, whereas the pre-amps (at least my MP1) have
only a ~10V AC output for filaments which gets rectified and regulated down to 6.3V DC. You
would have to install an entirely new filament supply, and unless you want to use all 12V tubes in
the preamp, you would have to keep the stock supply for the 6.3V tubes. There are some
wonderful sounding 6SN7s out there, anyway, so why bother?
