I just wondered if you had looked into this issue in detail. I feel the same as you that Lloyd's
products generally do work as advertised, and I think very highly of him as an individual. I've
had or have the HDLs, the Mikro Omega power cords, the tt AC supply, the Valid Points, the Vivid
CD conditioner, and the lead pucks in my system for a couple of years now and wouldn't be
without them. I just think the ad copy is a little extreme at times. I once had the experience of
sitting in the listening room of a good friend of mine who has the Proscenium and just about
every other product Lloyd makes, while Lloyd and his assistant were fine tuning the position of a
dampening lead puck sitting on top of the preamplifier. The assistant moved the puck about 3
inches, and Lloyd, who was standing next to me, immediately said, "No, move it back to where it
was." To my ears, there was absolutely no difference in sound in relation to moving that puck,
but Lloyd could hear one. He told me that after you do this sort of thing for awhile you become
more skilled at hearing differences. For me, it's the tree in the forest analogy; if I can't hear a
difference, do I care if there IS a difference? I guess, as Clinton said, it's a matter of what "is" is.
