Hi Rushton. I'm glad to hear of your positive experience with SST. I am "Rupertdacat" and I posted the query on audioasylum that yielded the response from "Tuckers" that was previously pointed to. I had read several enthusiastic testimonials about SST, and was very excited to try it out. That is, until I learned of Tuckers' experience.

Naturally, I would love to believe that a $70 product would yield a significant enhancement in the musicality of my audio system. However, I am pretty patient and conservative about accepting new "data". This has served me well in my profession. Tuckers' testimony has bolstered my native skepticism such that I will hold off on trying out the SST until more info comes in on people's longer term experience with it.

Just to be provocative, are you sure it is still benefiting your system? The only way to really know is to remove it and see what happens. It is well established that when a system changes slowly over time, one can very well adapt to that.
