I've found the Power Wraps are mildly helpful on stock power cords to my MA-1s, extremely
helpful on an NBS Signature II cord (about six years old) to my Wadia 861, but have minor
benefit if any on a Silent Source cord to the same component.I suspect the boutique power cord designers have figured out the RF standing wave issue,
and include high-resistance, high-permeability materials in their newer designs. Adding
Power Wraps to these will have no effect since they already address the problem.The Power Wraps were intended for aftermarket applications on less-exotic components
with nondetachable power cords. They can be added without need for surgery on the power
cord, and should make major improvements on components with inexpensive power
supplies.
