Hi OTLers !I agree with these bad experiences ... I blowed 5W 0,39 ohms WW shunt plate resistors on tun on power supply and 4 nos 6080WA !
In fact , a very high coupling capacitor (1uF or more ) is dangerous for safety of such tubes that can instantaneously whistand 5 amps of inrush current .
6N045 amperite delay systems are the best way to protect tubes and allow them to slowly rise their plate temperature . 1 mn later , dengers are gone and tubes can work many hours long wthout problems .
