Wayne, I respectfully disagree. This is not heresy. An MP-1, with retrofitted VSE Super Regulators, is sonically superior to the stock tube based regulator. The Super Reg uses MRF820s in the current source and shunt. I believe it's best to keep an open mind with respect to the promise of superior performance if an MP-3 upgraded with VB408 regulators. This is an apples and oranges comparison to the functionality of a FET based SLCF. One sonic result does not necessarily follow another.
