I couldn't agree more, Al. I too have noticed the B&Ws are a bit bright for my tastes too. I suggest trying the RCA 6SN7GTB. This is the one with the staggered black plates. It does attenuate the highs and may be just the ticket to take the edge off your tweeter's over exuberance.
