Voltage reference tubes, any good ?

Hello,

yesterday I got some NOS voltage reference tubes.
These are 85V 10mA to 150V and somewhat higher current.

I wonder after the discussions of noisy zeners,
whether they might be a much better choice. At least
the temprature variation is much better.

So: are they also noisy ? Is there an additional risk
compared to zeners ? e.g. ignition failure causes
speaker burnout ?

Thanx in advance,
Michael
