Hey Jack. I'm working through this problem with Ralph. I'm still perplexed. I went so far as to try a PS Audio ultimate audio outlet without positive results. I also tried inverting the polarity on the plug (with no ground, it's worse), different outlets, putting a 3K resistor across pin 2&3 on the input to the M60s.
