Bob, I have used COSMOS/SME V with different cartridges for 5 years now. I do not have the carts you listed, but have listened to a few others and some of them is close. Here goes the list: first, Spectral Signiture (came with the TT I bought used) was light, fast, detail, and lean, fun for pop music but not very good for classical music. Out of service due to my careless hand; 2nd, Blue point special: can not appreciate the media hype - the cart was back to the shelf barely breaking in; Next, grado reference: life got better in fact much better. It is rich, warm and seductive with very good detail wonderful for classical music, opera and jazz. I have enjoyed the cart very much and it has been my main cart for 3 years. The only thing I occasionly missed was the Spectral's fast, and clean treble. Current cart: Benz Ruby H (1/3 cost in HongKong): more "neutral"? I can not tell. I only thing I can say is that it is less rich than grado; High is better and bass is tighter, but grado is creamy and seductive. It is tough call to say which one I prefer. I do Grado-Benz switch once a while. I am happy either way. Hope that help.
