I read somewhere that E.A.R. built one of his tube amps directly into the inside of one of the old Quads. This was done so that the grids could be driven directly and of course do away with the need for speaker leads carrying high voltage. I don’t think that many were produced and I believe they stopped doing it when the CE regulations came into being.Regards
