Re: Zoebel network

Dragan,

Thank you for the interesting information on cable zoebel networks. Your English is quite good.

It seems that the purpose of a Zoebel network installed at the end of a cable run is to compensate for bad things that the speaker cable itself is causing. If this is true, then having the amplifier directly connected to the speaker would not need the cable Zoebel network. Would you consider this a true statement?

If the amplifier is producing a 10kHz square wave, I'm sure the signal will look different at the end of the speaker cable, than it did coming out of the amplifier. So next I wonder, if I connect an oscilloscope at the end of the speaker cable (with the speaker connected) and watch the signal as I add different Zoebel networks, if the best sound is also when the best looking square wave is achieved. What do you think?
