I can't say I care much about the loss of the remote. There are no remotely controller volume controls/switches that can compare with the precision attenuator used in the MP-1 & MP-3. Subwoofer? No problem. You can use a tape output or even come off the main outputs in a "Y" configuration. These circlotron outputs are capable of about a watt into 600 ohms. There's no problem driving multiple sources.
