I too have recently taken the MP-3 plunge and also have a VPI JMW arm. If you have the DIY skills as outlined in Steve's post then you don't need to read this. However ,if your like me, an electronic neophyte, balanced analog salvation can still be had. The junction box with the lemo and RCA connectors is too small to change the RCA's to balance connectors and even a DIN plug won't fit. VPI was willing to send a new juncton box with phono wire coming out of the RCA holes. Silver Audio was willing to connect their Silver Breeze phono cable (nice review by Michael Fremer in Aug. 2000 Sterophile)to the outgoing phono wires and make it all look neat and professional. Apparently VPI has gotten requests like this in the past but has never found a cable maker willing to go thru the trouble of doing this.
