RE: Midrange horn wings or baffle question

2.25feet is just a bit less than the actual width of the bass horn. So you are saying that if some sort of baffle was used, or wings that go right to the lateral edges of the bass horn, it would help at 500Hz? How about vertical? If I use taller, curved wings and have them taller, but starting behind the recessed tweeter, would that be better?
