I have owned a pair of the now discontinued M40Ti, and they sound wonderful with SET amps. These Axiom speakers present a benign impedance modulus to triode amps, the cone rolls off mechanically, and the tweeter is set with a cap. With digital source and EQ, they sound very nice. Srajan is quoted as saying the tweeter is better than it has any right to be, at the price point. I use them as my speakers when I am between speakers, if you know what I mean. Owned them five years now, and they are very listenable. I could say that I would bet a 300B and the M80 would be an interesting pairing. I could easily get with that. Just my o2 ya know. Beyond that, I love wideband drivers in horns and on open baffles, but Axioms do just fine in the monkey coffin department...
