I have a new open baffle project going on and I need a nice midrange form around 300-400 Hz to 5K. Its a direct radiator for a tri amp./eq system.I have selected the following B&C dirvers:
8Pl21
8PE21
6PEV13
6PE13
I havent heard any of them, I want to give a B&C a try.All have quite small x-max (+/- 0.6mm on the 6" ant +/- 1mm on the 8").
Of the 4 listed above I am inclined to the 8Pl21 and 6PEV13 drivers. Maybe with the first one one could (with the OB loss) even come out without a filter at all on the mid.
PS: the speakers are intended for a smalish (22 mt2) room, and not for very high SPL.
