yes, that is what I saw on the A.L.-Heritage forums, most people cross that high (~1.2K).I am using the E-145 Jbl woofers which do a great job up to 600, they just dont go too low.
So I guess I`m better off with some other direct radiator mid.
Two come to my mind: the Audax PR170MO and the Maxfidelity PR65neo, they can both do well to 4.5K and cross ever nicely with a 1st order LP filter. Any other suggestions?
ps. Next weeks I will be giving a 10" alnico widerange vintage Isophon a try. Haven`t measured, but the published response curve is very clean up to 7K and then rolls smoothly. I have also got the 9cm Saba tweeters to try.
