and fisher made a preamp that was darn nice.....a few of the macs too. But IMHO most of them sell for more than they are worth. What can I say. I just don't see good value in vintage pots/switches/rca jacks/etc.A preamp, if even needed, is a very simple and cheap to build. Now a good phono stgae is a little different.
