I use my Oppo and phono stage without a separate pre-amp. You need a phono stage that has a volume control.
There's no elegant way to do what you want.
I have a set of interconnect cables plugged into the phono stage and another set from the Oppo. I just make sure that the appropriate cables are plugged into the amp before I turn the system on. If you decide to switch sources you need to turn everything off before switching the cables to avoid damaging the speakers due to loud pops. I don't find that set-up to be burdensome.
I originally had an ARC pre-amp, and when I got my first Oppo I bought a multi-channel tube pre-amp, and in the course of trying it out and comparing the amps and adjusting the distance and volume on the channels I discovered that my system sounded better without any pre-amp at all. I also discovered that I didn't need any distance or volume adjusting. ( speakers were all equidistant and volumes tested out all equal )
