You say you're not sure if that's where the similarity ends, eh...I actually saw it suggested on another forum that the DVD89 was a rebranded Oppo 970 with Cambridge looks. I thought the feature set differences debunked that, but if the Cambridge does indeed do upconverting, MP3 and HDCD, I'm not so sure.
Is there anyone on here who owns both?
