"The MT chip can also output "pure DSD" but for some reason all companies are using its DSD to PCM conversion feature."Do you think it is because there are cheap and readily available bass management & time alignment solutions for PCM? There are some players that reportedly handle this without conversion to PCM but these are still small in number and tend to be more expensive, as far as I know.
