I just audetter than what I haitioned a new 2 ch. amp out of curiosity. It was so much better than what I had, I kept it, replacing my MCH rig.ut I still have my Samsung Universal, so I have some questions.I will still play my SACDS & DVD-As, but how do I access the 2 channel hi rez layers? I have no monitor.
Also, the amp revealed the shortcomings of the Samsung, so I will be upgrading. My question about that is, if I just buy a DAC, will it (the DAC) work with the SACD/DVD A output, too?
Or should I get the Samsung 941 modded? If so, by whom?
I was thinking about getting a HDDVD player, but it wont play SACDS, and I just use audio in that room - no video.
Or....just get a new CD ONLY player and use the universal for hi rez?
I have many more CDs than HIREZ, and I doubt if I buy any new SACDS/DVDAs.
As an aside, the new amp made my my vinyl rig sound WAY improved while making my CDs sound much more digital. I think it sounds like I upgraded my turntable/cartridge by several thousands dollars. WIfe agrees, BTW.
What should I do with the digital side? I see at least 4 options...
