There's no need to play coy. You were trying to make a point that hi-def DVD was so much better by comparing resolutions on computer displays. Using two different methods of comparing is misleading, and you have just admitted that this was deliberate. Hence, "deliberately misleading".If you want to compare fairly, use the *same* way of comparing. Otherwise it would be like saying "the Humoungous amp has 2000 peak watts, while the Ginormous amp only has 1000 watts". In this example the fact that both amps have the same power is being deliberately obfuscated.
And if you really want to be *accurate*, you should point out that hi-def doesn't become very meaningful until the display size gets bigger than 40" to 50" or so. (Yes, I know that it depends on how close you are to the display, but the reality is that most people sit eight to ten feet from their television. Very few people sit four feet away and very few people sit twenty feet away.)
