Of the 4 who had trouble playing Single Layer SACDs, 3 also could not play Hybrid SACDs and one couldn't play CDs either.You said "Your hardware problems are unique and probably relate either to the poor build quality of the Xindak or your cleaning procedure."
No they are not, they are a problem either with certain transports or the TOC of hybrid SACDs. The Xindak had the exact same problems reading SACD hybrids as my first Sony DVP-S9000ES does.
You said "Keep in mind that people who don't have problems with their SACD players don't generally post about it. Those who have problems are more likely to post."
This is the reason I did the survey as I wanted to know if most people had trouble with hybrids because we never heard about players that do not misbehave!
