You express an opinion and that is fine.Mastering engineer Tony Faulkner expressed a different opinion in Stereophile:
"I think there is little to choose sonically between DSD and high-speed PCM. The differences I do hear are down to fine details of filters and modulators. One thing is for sure: DSD is one pain in the neck for equipment designers." (Earlier in the article it is made clear that he is talking of 4x44.1 or 4x48 kHz PCM in this sentence).
And another mastering engineer, Steve Hoffman, has also stated similar opinions.
So there's that.
And then, you are speaking to people who are well acquainted with the sound of consumer SACDs here. Most people reading (not all, but most) have found SACDs sound better than CDs on their home players.
And so, you claim that CD will sound better on a player that is unavailable and that nobody else has ever heard.
I would be very thrilled about this, as 99% of the music I like is unavailable on SACD.
But it's hard to accept on faith.
