Apart from strictly technical issues, maybe a point worth considering is whether at least one of the "original artists" (DH) being involved in the SACD reissue process may play a role.My general feeling is that -- it does, in that the original artists will expectedly have a deep insight in what they wanted to achieve in the original recording and perhaps were barred from achieving in heorignal mix by technical limitations/standards (e.g. this will end up in the inner grooves of the LP so it's better to reduce the dynamics; it's better to have the singing line emphasized as otherwise it will play poorly on cheap equipment, and so on).
At this point EMI have a duty (if not already planned to be fulfilled) to summon Sir Paul McC and Sir Richard S. at Abbey Road to properly revive the Fab Four trove...
