I seem to recall reading a while back on the General Asylum, several threads addressing the merits of mono vs stereo. The MCH vs 2 CH issue seems to be somewhat of an extension of the same thing, more or less. IMO this is just an example of yet another situation where "one size doesn't fit all". The ideal system is one that can do justice to all imaging modalities. However I would argue that it's still best to have a system that really excels in one modality (e.g. 2 CH) rather than a mediocre set-up that can't handle either 2 CH or MCH well.
