One could buy A-7s at $100 each on the used market a few years back - almost couldn't give them away then. I think I once purchased new horns and drivers - brand new - for about $75 each for a system I had in '78.The studio I started at in '72 had A-7s as the main monitors in one of the control rooms. The big home furniture version was in the studio for playback as well.
