and then maybe the new SA15. I have the 8260 for headphone listening and the Sa11S1 for reference listening. It is more musical than the $1500 to $2000 Sonys but they may be a good compromise at that price point. The Sony's have a smidgen more resolution or detail but the Marantz units sound more like music than a digitally recreated event.
