The Concerto for Orchestra is one of the classical works I wanted to get to as a new year resolution. It has been on my list for some time.I was at Borders over the weekend and there was actually a hybrid disc on one of their listening stations which included this work. It was the Philadelphia Orcestra with Xhristoph Eschenbach on Ondine. It included Martinu's Memorial to Lidice and also Klein's Partita for Strings which are two classical works I'm totally unfamiliar with.
I have played through it now each day since I bought it. Way outside my box of what classical music I usually listen to and I'm enjoying it alot.
