Hi Mike,Have your unit checked over. It should not do this, I bet it happens on discs with 28 or more tracks. This should not be happening. I have not found the 306 to be ruthless at all, crap in, crap sound out that is normal, not a fault of the player.
Give Cary a call. I had this problem also, along with a high pitch noise when playing SACD CD's, and skipping from time to time.
