At least according to the post below, so get 'em while you can. As for me, I've collected a bunch of the RCA Living Stereo XRCDs in the past, and while they have usually sounded better than their RBCD equivalents, they are not better than the equivalent SACDs (if available). Once RCA started releasing Living Stereo SACDs, I stopped getting any more XRCDs. The more recently released XRCDs I've heard have an oppressively hard and bright edge to the sound (which made it easier to stop buying them); the earliest releases were much better in that regard. The XRCDs are also very poor value (one LP's worth of music per disc); the Heifetz Sibelius Violin Concerto XRCD, for example, is just 28 minutes. (And the SACD of that recording sounds far, far superior.)Russell
