They get a negotiated royalty per disc sold. It doen't matter whether it sells for 1 Euro or 100. Amazon can sell cheaper because they order in larger quantities, have lower overhead and probably send much of their back-office work to third world countries. Amazon may also be able to avoid many French taxes.
