Thanks for the clarifications, although I'm not sure that I would want to spend less than $4000 - $5000 on a top notch amp like the Blue Hawaii when the headphones themselves cost upwards of $4000. It would seem shameful to do otherwise with such wonderful headphones...I usually try to spend at least as much on amplification as I do on speakers or headphones, as it usually does make a noticeable difference. Sure, I might save a $1000 - $2000 by buying an amp from China but I prefer to not go down that road whenever possible.
