Thanks for the clarifications, although I'm not sure that I would want to spend less than $4000 - $5000 on a top notch amp like the Blue Hawaii when the headphones themselves cost upwards of $4000.
I usually try to spend at least as much on amplification as I do on speakers or headphones, as it usually does make a noticeable difference.
