Also, because of the complex acoustic environment of earcup/ear canals, etc.., understanding headphone measurements is not as easy or as straightforward as well understood as loudspeaker measurements. What might appear on headphone measurement graphs as "jagged" peaks and/or troughs might in fact sound acceptably flat to individual(s) involved in actual listening tests. Designing and/or evaluating a pair of headphones might actually be more of a subjective "hit and miss" affair than we would like to admit to at times.
