One of the things I like about the 701s it is one of the most coherent sounding headphones. In this case, "coherency" implies that select frequency range(s) rarely seem to overpower other parts of the frequency range. When the frequency arc is ***subjectively smooth*** (regardless of the actual measurements) the gateway to Audio Nirvana no longer seems to be guarded by the Hounds of Hell. So I can relax and listen to the music, once again...
