I do live to 2 track hi res digital recording in 24 /176.4 and 24/192.
The tracks can be played back on a workstation, with the appropriate audio card, but to play back on consumer electronics you need to convert the files to the DVD-A standard. As mentioned by other posters, discwelder makes serveral versions of software.
I prefer DVD solo by Cirlinca.com. You can download it for free and try out several discs before buying the software.
The main improvement over discwelder, is the 99 dollar bronze package does not let you controll the burn speed, it runs at the max speed.
with dvd solo you can create and write the ISO file image to your hard drive so you can keep the DVD-A ISO file and later use a standard burning software to burn to a DVD-R blank disc.
