I can already burn DVD-V discs with several different programs that I have. However, the 176.4kHz sampling rate isn't part of the DVD-V spec, so that option will not work.
The reason I asked about .wav to DVD-A is because the question has come up as to why Reference Recordings' new HRx format is being issued on DVD-R rather than DVD-A discs (it's a $ issue). One person had asked if the 176.4kHz .wav files could be used to make a stereo DVD-A disc so that a DVD-A player could play the recording, rather than using a computer to read the disc. The answer is yes, as long as you have a DVD-A software program (they range from free to $$$). I just wanted to know if anyone is using this route to listen to the HRx recordings.
