Yes, there are two sections on the new remote. The top controls the disc player and the bottom controls the audio unit. It works with all of the Ayre preamps and the integrated. The disc control section can be changed by the user to work with either the CX-7e (Philips RC-5 code) or the C-5xe (Pioneer code). When set to Pioneer code it will also work our DVD players, but only the basic functions as it doesn't have all of the buttons for video control.
