But when will the other shoe drop?

The CP72 was one of those models that would get the dreaded OC7 error (or whatever the code was). Then the player will be totally dead and unfixable. Panasonic would only warranty replace them with inferior spec'ed units without the Faroudja processing because the following model line didn't have it.

Don't ask me how I know.
