For S/PDIF and TOSLINK, I think there may be a bandwidth issue preventing transmission of hi-res multichannel in addition to the encryption issue. I think the current options are i-Link (IEEE 1394), Denon Link, and HDMI. Although I suspect only HDMI will be supported in the future.Dave
