The problem is that there just aren't enough of "we the customers" to support either hi-rez format. See my post above. With the exception of the small niche recording companies (Chesky, Heads-up, etc.) catering to audiophiles is a money-losing business. There aren't enough of us and our numbers will continue to diminish as the cost of equipment continues to soar.To be honest, I thought that the prevalence of inexpensive MCH HT equipment out there would re-energize the market and help sales of the hi-rez formats. But I was pretty clearly wrong.
